Fire destroys crop on acres in Jammu
Jammu: Ripened wheat crop standing in about 60 acres was destroyed after a fire broke out in the fields in Arnia of Bishnah in Jammu on Monday
As per sources, a major fire broke out in a field in Bishnah’s Arnia and spreaded to large tracts swiftly and reduced the ripened crop to ashes, the fire brigade vehicles didn’t reached the spot, due to which the crops reduced into ashes.

The famers themselves launched an fire-fighting operation but couldn’t control the flames, the farmers of Arnia have suffered a huge loss.
Early in the day a tent shop in Kathua’s Kalibari area situated on Jammu-Pathankot National highway also caught fire and suffered lakhs of loss.
However, the cause of the inferno is yet to find.
