Jammu Man debuts in Bollywood film
Jammu: Actor and producer Jagjeet Singh Rissam is all set make his Bollywood debut with the film ‘The Era of 1990’ directed by Shahid kazmi.
The Era of 1990 is a Hindi-language film which revolves around two brothers, Shiv and Shanky, who become experts in piracy at a young age. However, their lives take a dark turn when Shiv discovers that his uncle has murdered his father. Driven by revenge, Shiv sets out to avenge his father’s death, putting himself and his loved ones in danger. The film is directed and written by Shahid Kazmi and stars Sara Khan, Mir Sarwar, and Ray Parihar in lead roles.

Mr Jagjeet is playing the role of a police constable in the film.

Interacting with the media, One of the ‘The Era of 1990’ actors, Mr Shahbaz, said,” This is almost shot in J&K and our film can be watched in KC and Indira theater this Friday”.
“This is the first time a film from Jammu is being screened all over India and it will be screen in local theaters also”, he said.
“Our local artists from Jammu are in this film and its director is also a native from Rajouri Mr Shahid Kazmi who is living presently in Mumbai”, said, Ms. Sapna Sohni, another actor of the film.
“The local people should support our film as Shahid sir has directed this and Jagjeet sir produced it both are natives”, she added.
“People use to throng to watch films of big stars and they should also come in theaters to watch our movie”, she claimed.
“My two films are being screened on Friday here ‘Mauj Masti’ and ‘The era of 1990’ in the latter I’m playing Jagjeet’s wife”, she shared.
“I’m really stunned to see Jagjeet’s acting as he is a good actor. Tani Deol has done a item song in the film and Jagjeet has played a cop’s role”, she remarked.
“This is our film from Jammu which is being released India-wide, it is being released first time. Locals should come forward to watch this film”, said, Mr Jagjeet Singh Rissam.
“People from bollywood are approaching us that means we are capable to compete with bollywood in near future”, he claimed.
“Our local govt has given us subsidy in film production which has proved helpful for us”, he added.
“After ‘The Era of 1990’, ‘B-Town’, ‘Lahore’ and many films and web series from our production are in the pipeline”, he said.
“I’m thankful to LG sir who has given us subsidy for film making here”, he admitted.
