Job aspirants continue hunger strike in Jammu

Jammu: The  aspirants of Fire and Emergency Services posts continued their hunger strike on 12 consecutive on Sunday demanding the local authorities to issue the report of the inquiry committee formed to probe alleged irregularities in the recruitment process.

The protestors seen sitting in Jammu agitating holding banners and placards, which read “we want justice”, “12th day on Hunger Strike”, and “Tricolor”.

“It’s the month of holy Ramazan and our throats have strained now cause of yelling in protest but it failed to leave any impact on the LG regime”, Nazir Ahmad, one of the protesters said.

“Its our 12th of Hunger strike here and we want to spend Ramzan with our families, shame on local govt who don’t want  to pay heed to our concerns”, he alleged.

“Recently LG sir gave a statement that his govt will cancel any  exam if corruption, nepotism, malpractices found in any recruitments”, he added.

“I would like to make him remember that I met him at Raj Bhawan Jammu and gave him all the evidences which I had regarding our exam scandal”, he asserted.

“LG sir accepted all the evidences which I gave against the Fire and Emergency Services scam and told us that a CBI probe will be conducted into this”, he said.

“Its been four months since LG sir constituted the inquiry committee for SI, FAA, JAL Shakti and F&E but they have not submitted the report yet”, he claimed.

“Our foremost demand that the report must be submitted at the earliest”, he added.

“In  2012, 2018, 2020 scams were found in our recruitment and the scammers were not booked”, he allegedly said.

“Its been 12 days since we’re sitting on hunger strike and no one from the authorities have come to meet us, LG sir only make hollow promises”, he said.

“We want justice as yesterday due to rain some of our members have become sick”, he added.

“Its been 10 years since we are struggling here and no govt pay heed to our issues here as they only make hollow promises with us”, another protestor said.

“The accused even appeared before with media and accepted  he cheated but still the govt is not doing anything”, he added.
