Woman killed, 7 of family hurt in fatal Road accident in Jammu

Jammu: In a horrendous incident, a woman killed while seven members of her family hurt in road mishap in Thathri area of Doda Jammu yesterday.
The report said that the incident occurred when a Duster bearing registration number (JKO6A6939) was going to Doda from Kishtwar after paying obeisance at Sarthal Devi temple in Kishtwar and met with accident near grid station Thathri and fell into a deep gorge there.

Soon, after the mishap the injured were admitted to Associated Hospital and Govt Medical college Doda by the locals for treatment.

In this untoward mishap eight persons were injured who were shifted to the said hospital where 1 woman identified as Sushma Devi wife of Bir Singh resident of Bhaderwah succumbed to wounds, the report said.
While the injured have been identified as Sorav (08), Gorav(07), Charan Dass (23), Rishi Kumar (52), Kewal Kumar (25), Ankush Kumar (28) and Raksha Devi (27) who all are residents of Bhagratha Bhalla in Bhaderwah of Doda.
“Six people arrived in our hospital in which two among them were unstable and two are minors”, Medical Superintendent of GMC Doda, Mr Yudhvir Singh said.
“The doctors are evaluating their condition after conducting patients CT scans, Ultrasound tests we can tell about their condition” he added.
“They went to Sarthal Devi and in the evening when they were returning they met with this mishap and a lady among them died on the spot”, he further added.
“We can say minors are not okay as their heads are swelled due to this mishap and after conducting CT scans we can evaluate their condition”, he said.
