Jammu: School students stage protest over absence of teachers

Jammu: Expressing concerns over the absence of teachers and lack of basic facilities, the students of Govt. UPS Middle Batote in Ramban, Jammu staged protest demonstration against the education department on Saturday.

Scores of students of seventh standard of the school  assembled in their premises and sought the government to look into the matter and provide them proper teaching facility.

“Our school have five teachers and at present there are only three”, a local man said.

“Three of them use to give their presentations in the school and two out of the five have been sent to teach to some other school”, said a local man.

“When school opened today no teacher came here and there is strength of 150 students in this school”, he added.

“We have addressed this issue to ZEO Batote and CEO Ramban many times, but our issue is not being solved”, he alleged.

“When I went to CEO sir I came to know that two teachers of our school, who are Sanjit Rana and Santosh Singh have been sent to Bhagwa and Sanasar govt schools”, he said.
