Students allege Stone pelting in College in Jammu
Jammu:Â Several students of GGM Science college on Monday alleged that stones were pelted at them by students residing in hostels, when they were standing in the college premises after the exams.
As per report, the matter came to light when several students appeared before the media & narrated the incident.

Talking to the media, a student, said, ” We had our internal exams today and after giving it, we came out from exam halls & were discussing the paper quietly”.
“All of a sudden hundreds of students came from hostel & began stone pelting at us, the stones were big in size & some girls are hurt”, he added.

“They pelted stones at us & ran away, no one said anything, some stones hit girls head”, one of student said.
“The hostel-students wants to show their dominance on us, that’s why they pelted stones at us”, another student said.
“Some outsiders might have come here as there are many play grounds here and this college also has multiple exits”, a GGM College staff member said.
“We’re installing cameras within the college campus and our security arrangement is strong. This a heritage college and it is being renovated & no student is hurt”, he asserted.
“They are good students and no one is injured”, he added.
“I’m a member of college’s ABVP student unit, some students sustained minor wounds & we condemned this incident and the college regime has given us assurance of strict action”, another student said.
“I’m hurt and my leg is wounded when I was trying to save the students from pelting. Some students are being nursed”, a student said.
“We have submitted applications opposing such events to college regime earlier also, but they took no action”, he added.
“We went to hostel to talk to them, they began throwing liquor bottles at us. They turned hostel a ‘bar’, another student allegedly said.
