        ReK protestors confronts police in Jammu, Several hurt
Police on Saturday resorted to cane-charging and foiled the protest of Rehbar-e-Khel (ReK) teachers demanding that their services be regularised.
Scores of ReK teachers were seen marching towards the Jammu Secretariat, where the deployed police were seen stopping them.
Some agitators fell unconscious on the road, when police resorted to lathi charge outside press club, Jammu.

Hitting out at the administration, the teachers said it had promised them that their demands would be looked into.

“The regime is in slumber from several days and when we came to secretariat today, it irked them”, one of the protestors said.
“You should coordinate with us and we will with the police”, another female protestor told the police.
“What you’re saying is genuine, but the tehsildar come and let us see your memorandum”, a female police officer said.
“We respect your job, but let the officials come to take cognizance of this matter”, she added.
