Bharat Jodo Yatra: Rahul Gandhi enters in the heart of Jammu city

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi-led padayatra has reached in the Jammu city on Monday. His excursion reached in J-K on January 20 and will conclude in Srinagar on January 30.

Talking to the media, PDP Senior Youth Leader Parvez Wafa Khan, who was standing to welcome Gandhi, said, “PDP has come here to welcome Mr Rahul and to show party’s solidarity with his yatra”.

“The present regime has sown seeds of hatred in whole India and the entire country is wrestling with unemployment, hunger, hatred and we have to erase such things to relieve people”, he said.

 “Mehbooba mam is going to welcome him in Kashmir. The accession of J&K happened with stalwarts like Nehru & Gandhi and not with Godse’s ideology”, he added.
“There is war of ideologies which is going on in contemporary times. There is not only one monolithic Idea of India, but umpteen India’s live here. So many people from several religions, castes and classes live here”, he remarked.
He added that if one look around the Yatra there are people from diverse religions in Jammu, who have come to welcome it.
“Our party’s message is of brotherhood. After centuries such a figure born who marches thousands of kilometers on foot to do something big”, he said.
