Card shortage leaves locals without driving licence in Jammu

Jammu:
Some locals on Sunday alleged that the Stationery shortage at the RTO office Narwal, Jammu is leading to delay in applicants receiving printed driving licence (DL) and from the Road Transport Office (RTO).

Despite clearing the driving test and generation of the soft copy of the licence weeks ago, many had not received their printed copies.

Mr Sher Singh, a local resident, said, “Three months ago my brother applied for the driving licence and he is yet to receive it. The RTO office is saying that they have no stationary stock left to print the cards that’s why there is pendency in dispatching the licences to the applicants”.
