Jammu: Patients are suffering due to    Medical Negligence of hospitals

Jammu:  A man who is resident of Bilaspur, R.S Pura has alleged that when he took his mother to GMC Jammu, the staff there misbehaved with him and didn’t attended her well, today.

“On 7th of Jan at 4am in the morning I took my ailing mother to GMC, Bakshi Nagar as she was having breathing issues. The hospital staff there misbehaved and told me to come again at 10am, then told me to visit Shalamar hospital”, Mr Karan Singh told media.

“From Baskhi Nagar we went to Shalamar Hospital and an attending doctor there asked us to come at 10am as he is asleep, then again when we went for my mother’s treatment the attending doctor & nurse staff pulled pipe from my mother’s nose forcefully drawing blood from it”, Karan said.

He added that the doctors at Bakshi Nagar further referred his mother namely Vimla Devi to Chandigarh and after receiving treatment from there they came back to Jammu.

“After my mother’s operation in Chandigarh, the doctors sent us to Jammu and told us to get my mother’s nose pipe removed from JMC here. When I admitted my mother here, the attending staff  behaved with us condescendingly”, Karan said.

“The doctor told me to take my mother home and remove the nose pipe all by myself. He also said that my mother will die in minutes then what will I do”, he said.

“The  health system of Jammu is being discriminated. It is weak”, a relative of victim said.

“After my sister’s operation the doctor at hospital in Chandigarh called us at his office and inquired why hospitals in Jammu lack facilities”, he said.
