Rajouri, 14 November: A mid-day meal worker of a primary government school in Bagla village of Budhal, Rajouri has showed his resentment today over absence of teachers in the school where he is working saying that the teachers don’t come to school to teach students instead they take long leave affecting the education of students.

Speaking to the media the midday meal worker of the school said that the teachers who have been recruited in this school to impart education to children always make excuses on not coming to the school.

“There are three teachers who was appointed here in this school to teach the students but they hardly come to take their classes and at 10am I called CEO mam who told me that she can’t come and then after that I informed Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) regarding this matter who also avoided our issue. They always provide these excuses that they cannot come to the school as they are busy in somework”, he further said.

He added that  he also reported the matter to DC Rajouri who paid no heed till now.

“I have prepared the meal for the students & have fed them and due to bad weather the students prefer not to come to the school and those who come they try to run away from here. What should I do to keep them here as I am also looking after my crops. Its been a decade since these teachers  are skipping the classes of students and who will take the responsibility if something from the school gets stolen. I have given my own land for this school and the govt only pays me rupees 20 per day and these teachers receive 50-60 thousand every month without doing any work”, he allegedly said.
