In the Silver Jubilee Year of KC Public School, the first-ever meeting and get-together of its Alumni Association was held on school campus today morning. Established in the year 1997, the school is currently celebrating 25 years of dedicated service to the people of Jammu & Kashmir and has invited the alumni of the first 4 batches who passed out of the school from 2003 to 2006 to this landmark meeting.

The first part of the function commenced in the multi-sports hall of KC Sports Club at 11 am with  a welcome address by Principal AK Mishra. Thereafter, the ceremonial lamp was lit by senior school alumni to mark the auspicious beginning of the KCPS Alumni Association. A short cultural programme consisting of Guru Vandana dance-cum-prayer and an inspirational group song was presented by current senior school students of the school.

KCPS alumni of the first 4 batches have since completed their higher education and professional training and settled into various careers in diverse fields such engineering, medicine, defence service, business management and so on. Quite a few of them were invited to speak about their memories of their alma mater and their experiences after passing out of its portals. All were unanimous in recalling fond memories of the school and the role it had played in shaping them into responsible, committed, and confident individuals.

The main agenda of the meeting was the election of office bearers of the Association and the following were elected unanimously:

After the formal function, the alumni present at the inaugural meeting played friendly matches in Cricket and Basketball on the indoor courts of KC Sports Club and enjoyed the fun. The function concluded with lunch hosted by the school management.
