A daylight house-break in was reported from Moora village located in Panthal block of Katra while all the family members were not at home.

The burglar fled with gold ornaments weighing around 94 grams along with cash worth rupees eleven thousand.

The owner of the house is Ashok Sharma who is a teacher by profession , when the theft took place he was not at home and was out for some work . He said that when he reached home everything was lying scattered on the floor , the locker of the almirah was broken , and valuable items were missing , though he was not sure whether the important documents were also stolen or not. According to him, it was a burglary of around six lakh rupees.

The suspects in the case have not yet been identified and are on the run. The owner tried to contact the local police to lodge a complaint regarding the theft but none from the police post reached the site to investigate the matter till now .

Police officials are requested to investigate the matter and initiate a manhunt to nab the culprits .
