The Dharmarth trust is all set to retire the priest who received gunshot injuries during the horrific attack on Raghunath temple in Jammu in the year 2002. Though there are still four years left in his service.
Puran Chand , ( the priest) was serving as a pujari in the premises of Raghunath Temple when the attack took place back in 2002. After which he was shifted to Purmandal and since then he is serving there.

He has placed several requests before the J&K Dharmarth Trust to kindly look into this and has urged them not to take this step as it will impact his livelihood. He has two daughters and one son . Retiring from the post even before his due age will leave him financially handicapped.
