In the Haripur village of Kathua district, the CRPF 121 BN organised a free medical camp. In the camp, people were offered free medical checkups, medicine and free doctor consultancy.
The prime objective behind organising such camps is to provide essential health services to the people living in far flung areas especially the border areas. Around 200-300 villagers were examined during the camp . CRPF personnel along with the local eminent personalities inaugurated the camp.
Doctors and other medical staff from GMC Kathua had come to treat the people of the village.
CRPF personnel while interacting with media said that this is their second such camp and they have to organise a total of six free medical camp across the district.
It was organised under the Civic Action Programme . The Civic Action Programme is one of the many programmes envisaged by the Govt. of India to act as a bridge between the Security forces and the local people. The immediate necessary requirements of the populace are met through various programmes which are area specific and need based. Winning the hearts & minds is the basic essence of works undertaken during Civic Action Programme .
