Residents of Shankar colony , Gangyal are reeling under darkness as the power supply remains snapped in the region since past two days.

Electricity supply was disrupted after the transformer burst with a flash of light during midnight. Next day when the members from the electricity department came to replace the burst transformer with a new and larger one with sufficient capacity , some locals raised a concern over it. Actually the transformer is stationed close to a residential house and there is also a kids school nearby. And moreover the newer transformer will be larger than the earlier one hence that is the reason why it’s replacment has become a bone of contention .
Lack of electricity is causing a lot of inconvenience to the locals as the power supply remains suspended due to internal disputes between some residents.
People are hoping that the power outage will be resorted soon.
