As a part of the Civic Action Programme of the Jammu and Kashmir Police , District Police Kathua organised a Bharat Darshan Tour for the youth of Kathua district.
SSP Kathua , RC Kotwal flagged off the batch of 56 students drawn from different regions of the district for the tour.
The touring group consists of students ( 56) and five caretakers . The group will visit the various historical monuments at Delhi and Mumbai . It will provide the students an opportunity to explore and understand the unity & diversity of the country. It will also help them in personality development.
Civic Action Programme is one of the many programmes envisaged by the Govt. of India to act as a bridge between the Security forces and the local people. The immediate necessary requirements of the populace are met through various programmes which are area specific and need based. Winning the hearts & minds is the basic essence of works undertaken during Civic Action.
It’s major aim is the upliftment of youth below poverty line & unemployed families as well as community as a whole.
