In a hapless incident a fire broke out in a smart electric meter at Green conclave area in Rehari colony of Jammu city in the wee hours of Tuesday.

Around four smart electric meters were completely gutted in the blaze . The fire broke out at around 3 am in the morning. No injuries were reported in the incident.
People kept on dialing for fire brigade , but the team reached the spot half an hour late and doused the blaze .
Officials of the power supply department were also contacted . A probe is underway to ascertain the cause behind the fire.
