The stone-pelting incident has come to the fore on the occasion of Eid in South Kashmir. Stones were pelted outside a mosque after morning prayers in district Anantnag. It is being told that people threw stones at the security forces. A large number of people had reached the mosque to offer Namaz. Last year, due to Corona infection, many people did not reach out to offer Namaz. But this time, corona cases are fewer, and people offered Namaz together.

Eid festival is celebrated across the country on Tuesday when the moon is sighted on Monday. People of Muslim society all over the country, including the state, offered Namaz together and prayed to Allah during Namaz and prayed for the well being of the country. After the Namaz, people hugged each other and greeted Eid.

At the same time, Eid prayers were offered in various mosques and places of worship in the Jammu and Kashmir divisions. Thousands of hands raised in prayer prayed for peace and progress. The main Eid prayers were offered in other mosques in the morning, including Eidgah on Residency Road in Jammu city. People started arriving in mosques and places of worship in the morning. Tight security arrangements have been made around the mosques in both the divisions regarding Eid.
