Armed miscreants allegedly attacked man in Jammu

Jammu: In the Moti Bazar area of Jammu over fifteen miscreants armed with weapons allegedly attacked a shopkeeper and his associates in the dead of the night and for not giving them kites at a lesser price.

According to the report, the incident occurred when some boys came to buy kites from a kite seller in Moti Bazar area of Jammu and when the kite seller refused them discount the miscreants came with weapons and attacked him and his associates.

Talking to the media, “Some boys came to us and bought kite from us and their bill amounted to Rs 2260 but they said they will pay us Rs 2000.

“We told them that we can less Rs 60 and on hearing this they abused us and left.

“They were local boys. Later they brought more boys with them and told us to come down from our shop.

“We came down from our shop fearing damage to our goods but they attacked us with rods.

“I have suffered injuries on nose and head. They have also hurled bricks at us and also damaged our vehicle.

“We caught one of them and the boy hit himself saying that \he will do police complain against us.

“The gang of boys ran away when we said that police is approaching. They came in a car bearing  Delhi registration number.

“We were sleeping in our home and when I heard ruckus on the road I came down and another shopkeeper told me that several boys came in two cars to beat this boy.

“He is an innocent boy and those boys came to beat him. I have never seen such a incident here”, a local man said.
