Police file chargesheet against top Drug smuggler in Jammu

In a huge success, Samba Police yesterday filed a chargesheet against a top drug smuggler namely Yoddha who was operating from Punjab’s Amritsar and was peddling drugs in Jammu with the aid of local drug suppliers here.

According to report, acting on the inputs the Ghagwal police station of Samba district jurisdiction some months ago apprehended the accused with huge quantity of Heroin and Rs 16.71 Indian currency. The culprit was under Samba police custody and he was being probed since then. After the completion of the culprit’s investigation in the said case the police filed the chargesheet in the court.

The drug supplier has been identified as Jagraj Singh alias Yoddha s/o Balkar Singh r/o  Devi Dasspura, Amritsar of Punjab state.

The accused was on the run but after hectic efforts when Samba police launched raids in Punjab they held the culprit from Amritsar and he was brought to Samba in Jammu. After which the police started his interrogation and also raided several other places based on the culprit’s confession. He has been booked under relevant sections of NDPS act, the report said.
