Two youths who got stuck in Betard river of Poonch district were saved by the army, yesterday.
Due to the monsoon season the mountainous areas in Jammu region from the past few days are receiving high torrents which has caused high inflow of water level in rivers in various hilly regions.
According to the sources, two youths went into the river and when the water flow was on rise they got stuck there and clung to nearby boulders in the river, then after some time the locals launched a search operation and also informed the Army. Later, the army reached on the spot and launched an rescue operation in which they saved these two boys from drowning.
