The Tawi bridge of Jammu city is turning into a suicide point with frequent cases of people jumping to death on the spot. Two such incidents were reported in the past few days where a man and a lady ended their life by jumping off the bridge the next day.
Low railing on both sides provides those frustrated with their lives to take this extreme step. Authorities are requested to pass an order to install grills on both sides of the bridge as that would be a practical solution to discourage suicide attempts.
With the surge in the number of suicides attempted, all the concerned bodies are appealing to take immediate steps to curb such incidents.
