POONCH, Mar 31: A child died while five children among six persons were injured when a Tata Mobile vehicle they were travelling in, met with an accident at Nerian, in Sawjian area of tehsil Mandi in Poonch district today.
Official sources said that a Tata Mobile vehicle, bearing registration number JK14F- 3081 met with an accident in which 6 children among seven persons were travelling. Locals of the area shifted all the injured persons to SDH Mandi, where one child was declared brought dead, while other six were treated and referred to DH Poonch.
The deceased was identified as Mohd Toufiq (12) son of Mushtaq Ahmad. The injured have been identified as Faizan Ahmad (10) son of Shabir Ahmad; Mohd Hafeez (12) son of Shabir Ahmad; Mohd Rafiq (37) son of Ahad Lone; Davood Ahmad son of Mohd Ashraf; Irfan Ahmad son of Mohd Abrahim; Imtiaz Ahmad son of Mohd Abrahim, residents of Gagrian village in Mandi.
Medical Superintendent DH Poonch, Dr. Nusrat Bhatti said that we received 6 injured, all were treated here and later two among them were referred to GMC Rajouri. The family may take them to Jammu. All other four injured are stable and kept under observation here in District Hospital. Meanwhile, the police has taken cognizance of the matter
