Will Kashmiri Apple Get Expensive After Budget 2021-22?

After the budget for the year 2021-22, a lot of news regarding the price of Apple is buzzing on social media. Many apple traders are confused about whether the price of Apple will increase or decrease. So to clear the confusion our executive today met with an apple trader Sunny.

While talking he said “from ages apple farming and selling has remained a source of earning especially for the people of Kashmir. Out of the total production of Apple in India Kashmir contributes about 2 trillion of total production. In the budget, the government of India has introduced a cess duty on apple which will increase the sale of Apple in India. As the apple which is imported in India is charged with 35% taxes the prices increase but with the introduction of cess on the local apple, the apple will be cheaper to buy and common people can afford them at a minimal cost”.
