Police on Wednesday claimed that two youth from north Kashmir’s Kupwara who were planning to join militancy were brought back to their homes.
Police said the youth were brought back from Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
According to reports, the youth had gone missing two days ago. However, the parents of the youth did not lodge any missing report.
“We have brought them back from Tral in South Kashmir,” a police official claimed.
Confirming it, DySP operations Fayaz Geelani said that the police started to trace out the two youth who were missing from Kupwara.
Geelani said that “our reliable sources suggest that the duo had intentions of joining militant ranks.”
