Transgender people protest in Bikram Chowk, case registered against the accused

The third gender – Transgender as per the Indian constitution, protested in Bikram Chowk on Thursday. According to reports, they shouted about a rival group of the same community assaulting some members of their group.
While protesting, one of them said “Goons and boys are sent to us. We are forced to do wrong deeds and give them money. They don’t fear the Police.”
Police said that hundreds of transgender people protested against the castration of people of their community. “They castrated their private parts after which the protest was held.” The Police said.
The protestors accused Police of ‘shielding accused.’ The transgender members blocked the busiest route of Jammu that is Bikram Chowk.
A case under FIR no 16/21, under sections 363, 323 of IPC was registered at Police Station Satwari and action initiated against another transgender.
