Transgender community protest in Jammu

The Transgender community today protested in Jammu to demand justice for their group members. The community has been protesting for the past 20-25 days but no one is listening to them.

While talking to the media a transgender said “in our community, there were 3-4 male transgenders but a transgender of Ramgarh named Sonia forcefully changed their gender. No police official is providing us any assistance. We have met IG Jammu 3-4 times but he didn’t provide justice to us. No one is listening to us and we are compelled to protest outside the LG office. She is molesting people in our group. Whosoever raises his/her voice against her she then kidnaps the person and harasses them. Our only demand is that Sonia should be arrested and all those whose gender has been changed should be converted back to their gender”.
