In a shocking incident that took place in the Kulgam village of Jammu and Kashmir, a police constable was abducted from his residence in the wee hours of Saturday morning.
As per sources, Mohammad Salim Shah, the police constable, was abducted at 2 am in the morning from his home by a group of terrorists just when he had returned home. Shah was training at Kathua at the Police Training Center.
A manhunt has been launched by the police to find the perpetrators responsible for the abduction.
The reports of abduction surfaced after a pharmacist had filed a police complaint stating that the army jawan had taken a lift from him and the vehicle was stopped by a few masked men.
Army sources had said that the missing jawan was a part of the team behind the operation that killed Sameer Tiger.
The army man was observing Roza and had told his father that he was given leave for four days to celebrate Eid with family. Aurangzeb’s brother was also in the Army and in 2014, one of his uncles had also been abducted and killed by terrorists.
The abductions are, however, not only limited to security officials. Muntazir Ahmed, a Kashmiri youth was abducted by Pakistani terrorists from Hajin at Banidpora in Kashmir. His body was later found by the police in a gruesome state in the Shahgund area of Kashmir.
