Thieves broke into the house of an army officer in Teli Basti of Badi Brahmana and stole gold jewellery, an LED and other items from there. To enter the house, the thieves broke the house’s locks by removing the hand pump handle installed in the courtyard and committed the theft.
Landlord Nayak Subhash Chandra said that he is originally a resident of Doda. He had come home on leave, and on Friday, he had gone to drop off his children and wife with his parents in Doda. He was to return to duty on Tuesday. However, on Monday, when he came to his house in Bari Brahmana, he saw that there had been a theft in his home. Subhash Chandra said that the main gate was locked outside, but inside the courtyard, he saw that the handle of the head pump was uprooted.
The bathroom door was also broken, and from there, the bucket and bathing mug was also lying near the hand pump, which suggests that the four took a bath here before committing the theft. After this incident, Subhash informed the police, after which the police reached the spot and started investigating the matter. At the same time, Subhash says that some of his documents are also missing. At the same time, the police say that the case is being investigated. The help of CCTV cameras installed in the area is also being taken to trace the thieves.
