Terrorists ran when I warned & opened fire at them
Jammu, January 05, 2023: Mr Bal Krishan Sharma one of the survivor and eyewitness of Rajouri frightful terror attacks, which happened at Dangri (Rajouri) killing six people on Sunday, today in an interview told the media that his gun shots scared the terrorists and forced them to run away.
Talking to the media, Mr Bal Krishna in a valiant tone said, ” I had just entered my house, when I heard crackers like sound outside,
“I thought firecrackers were bursting, but when I again heard shots. I took out my .303 rifle, challenging the terrorists that I have a gun with me and fired at them”, he said.
“They ran away after hearing fire from my rifle. They might have assumed that security forces have arrived here and fearing retribution they escaped from our village”, he added.
He said that terrorists were in his niece’s house and when he opened fire in air they vacated the house.
“If I had not opened fire, the terrorists might have killed dozens of people here, leading to a massacre”, he said.
“Govt should give us better arms, but .303 rifle is enough, if one uses it well”, he added.
Yesterday, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) sent additional 18 companies to Jammu and Kashmir in the wake of recent killings of civilians in these two fresh terror attacks in Rajouri, Jammu.
