Mendhar: Tension prevailed for some time at the Mendhar bus stand on Saturday after a clash broke out between transport agents over issues related to vehicle commission.
According to sources, an argument between the agents quickly escalated into a scuffle, leading to panic among passengers and shopkeepers in the area. Traffic movement at the bus stand was briefly disrupted as people gathered at the spot.
Local authorities and police personnel reached the scene soon after and intervened to defuse the situation. The matter was brought under control, and normalcy was restored within a short period.
No serious injuries were reported in the incident. Police said they are looking into the matter and have advised all transport operators and agents to resolve disputes through dialogue and legal means to avoid public inconvenience.
