To conserve the environment and green the Trikuta Hills commonly known as Mata Vaishno Devi Hills, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board is making continuous endeavours and will plant 1.10 lakh plants in the current financial year.
Chief Executive Officer, Shrine Board, Ramesh Kumar here on Friday said that monsoon plantation drive has been launched along the Tarakote Marg by planting saplings of Peepal, Bargad, Jacaranda and Tecoma.
“Around 1.10 lakh plants of different species under its Annual Greening Plan during the current financial year will be planted thereby bringing another 100 hectares area under green cover,” he added.
