People created a rumpus outside Vaccination centre in Bakshi Nagar as they complained about the misbehaviour of the Medical officer towards them. According to them, the lady officer ignored them for the vaccination drive and forced them to leave the place.
“We are standing outside the centre since 9 am. They wrote our name for the vaccination and we went inside. As our turn came for it, they informed about only 5 vaccines remaining for shopkeepers. Three girls went inside and got vaccinated after that. Is this correct? They had contacts so their work was done!” said the lady
“Medical Officer visited the centre and shouted at us to get out. She told the workers to ignore us and vaccinate only shopkeepers. She also told us to feel ashamed to grab men’s vaccination chances.” added another
The women grumbled about officer’s bad ethics and said “Such officers take advantage of their posts. Why aren’t the workers answerable to us when we’re waiting since morning? She should know that women equally need vaccine as men. There’s no difference at all.”
However, the incident was declined by a staff member saying “I was working in the centre and didn’t witness what happened. We are all standing here since morning and didn’t complain once. Maybe there was a miscommunication otherwise no one would behave like that.”
A lot of confusion at the vaccination centres is observed these days especially of the 18-45 age group. In some cases, vaccines become out of stock while in other cases, people fight for their turns. Everyone should stand in the queue and wait for their turns.

PM’s all-party meet: Ek Jutt Jammu Protested in Jammu
Advocate Ankur Sharma led Ek Jutt Jammu staged a protest against Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not inviting any regional party for an all-party meeting. According to the party, the PM has not done justice to Jammu by not asking any political party from Jammu. Ek Jutt Jammu has called 24 June 2021 a black day for Jammu.
Speaking with the media, Ankur Sharma said, “today is the black day in the history of J&K, and this black day is being observed in all the ten districts of Jammu. The Central Government has called for restoring the democratic process in J&K but has left Jammu out from the exercise. The gang, which was labeled as Anti-National by the Central Government, has received the invitation, and by talking with them, the Central Government will decide the future of J&K”.
“The Central Government has made a contract with Kashmiri Parties, and that’s why they haven’t invited any party from Jammu; otherwise, they can’t execute their contract. They have not only done partiality with Jammu, but they have sold Jammu. Ek Jutt Jammu will fight for separate statehood”, Ankur added.
