Rajouri Dec 04: The salaries of twenty health workers, including four doctors posted in the Kalakote Medical Block of Rajouri, Jammu Kashmir have been withheld for failing to update and validate data on the Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) portal. The decision followed a performance review which found persistent non-compliance despite repeated instructions and reminders, according to Dr Iqbal Malik, Block Medical Officer (BMO) Kalakote.
Dr Malik told Gulistan News that incomplete and delayed reporting on the NCD portal had affected programme indicators, monitoring outcomes and the overall functioning of the health facilities in the block. As a corrective measure, the salaries of the four doctors and other staff for November have been stopped until all pending NCD entries are completed and a written compliance report is submitted to the BMO.
The employees whose salaries have been withheld include Dr Rohit Gupta, Dr Amandeep Saini, Dr Sushil Jagotra and Dr Mohammad Reyaz, along with Mid-Level Health Providers Sonika Sharma, Nitish Sharma, Sandeep Singh, Aarti Kumari, Rita Sharma, Swati Sharma and Mency Sharma. Multipurpose Health Workers Rekha Devi, Sunil Palla, Anish Kumar, Karun Lata, Ibjani Sharma, Seema Sharma, Usha Sharma and two employees named Sunita Sharma have also been directed to complete all pending entries within three days. Failure to comply may attract further disciplinary action under service regulations.
