‘Fixed match’: Sajad Lone on Rajya Sabha poll outcome
People’s Conference chief Sajad Lone launched a scathing attack on the National Conference (NC) over their remarks against detained MLA Mehraj Malik, saying the party had “crossed all limits of shamelessness.”
Lone said it was deeply shameful that NC leaders were questioning or criticising Mehraj Malik, a man who is behind bars and unable to defend himself.
He added that instead of showing solidarity with a fellow political representative facing detention, the NC was trying to score political points.
“Politics should have some moral boundaries,” Lone remarked, urging all parties to uphold democratic values and empathy even amidst political rivalry.
