Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will be visiting Ladakh and Jammu & Kashmir on July 17-18. He will be accompanied by Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane and will be visiting forward locations there.
The Defence Minister will interact with soldiers deployed in the hostile border area and will also meet soldiers who received injuries in the ambush by China’s PLA on June 15 in Galwan Valley.
Singh had earlier planned to visit Leh on July 3; however, the plan was put on hold, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi decided to visit the forward location in eastern Ladakh.
