To demand their wages pending from past nearly four years, hundreds of ITI daily wagers employees from Public Health Engineering (PHE) along with their kids staged a protest today against the Governor of Jammu.
They also demanded regularization and implementation of Seventh Pay Commission besides fulfillment of other demands.
The PHE ITI daily wagers shouted slogans against the Governor Administration.
Addressing the media, Union President, Tanvir Hussain said that they are protesting since September but their demands are still not fulfilled. He said that the future of thousands of ITI daily wager is still hanging in balance despite the fact that they have been serving the department since years.
They demanded from the government to formulate a proper regularization policy for all the PHE ITI daily wagers and settle all pending issues of at the earliest.
They demanded that workers who have donated their owned lands to get engaged in the department as permanent employees be also given justice and regularized.
He said that they will continue their protests till their demands are not fulfilled.
