PDD Department Doesn’t Care For Its Workers: Family Of A Late PDD worker

In the past few days, we all know how much the PDD department cares for its workers. May it be an increase in their salaries or coming to review the condition of families of their late workers. A similar incident happened in the Reasi where a lineman Gjay Singh passed away on duty on the first day of the year while repairing electric lines. 19 days have passed but no PDD official has arrived to review the condition of his family after his death.

On 1st January, as usual, Gjay left his home for his duty, and at noon his family received the information of his death after he got an electric shock. Gjay was the resident of the Karka area, Panchayat-B Reasi. JK Media has always helped the daily waters in raising their demands and today also talked with the family of the deceased to know about the hardships they are facing.

While talking to the media his wife said “he was working in the PDD department for more than 6-7 years. In his family, he has 2children, a mother-father, and me. He was the only earning member of our family after his death. We are struggling every day. He was so much dedicated to his duty that sometimes even at midnight he has performed his duty. We were expecting some officials from the department to review our conditions but it’s, unfortunately, no one came”.

” When my father died only one lineman came as he is also our neighbor and rest no one from the department came. We only took the dead body for the postmortem and the department didn’t provide any kind of help. Now we don’t expect any help from the department. We request the government that, if they can assign me to any government post so that I can look after my family”, Gjay’s elder son said.

The conditions of their house are not good and they are below the poverty line. So we request the J&K Government to kindly provide some assistance to this poor family.
