Lionel Messi sends SIGNED jersey to MS Dhoni’s daughter

Argentina skipper and talisman Lionel Messi completed a life-long dream earlier this month when he led his national side to the FIFA World Cup 2022 title in Qatar. It was Argentina’s third World Cup win and came after a gap of 36 years.

Messi has long been dubbed as one of the true GOAT (Greatest of all Time) and favourite footballer of many around the world. Messi cheered up one of his youngest fans as well, sending a specially autographed Argentina jersey to seven-year-old Ziva Dhoni. Ziva is the daughter of former India captain and current Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni.

A few days back, former India spinner Pragyan Ojha revealed that Messi had sent a signed jersey to BCCI secretary Jay Shah. Now the Argentina and PSG footballer has sent another jersey for MS Dhoni’s daughter. Ziva took to her Instagram account to share the pic of the jersey gifted by Messi. The star footballer has a huge fan following in India as well and it is well known that Dhoni is also a big football fan and had tweeted about Messi many years back.

Messi signed the jersey saying ‘Para Ziva’, an image of which was posted on Ziva’s Instagram account as well. The caption of the picture read: ‘Like father, like daughter’.

Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni has flown to Dubai to celebrate the Christmas and New Year holiday with wife Sakshi and daughter Ziva Dhoni. Dhoni flew down to Dubai after the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 mini auction where he was joined by Team India wicketkeeper and Delhi Capitals skipper Rishabh Pant.

Sakshi Dhoni recently posted an image of Dhoni partying with Pant and some other friends at the Sushisamba restaurant in Dubai.

BJP nominated Abhishek Singh Slathia as General Secretary BJYM JKUT

Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) today nominated Abhishek Singh Slathia as State General Secretary BJYM JKUT. Abhishek was earlier holding the position of State Vice President J&K, BJYM from April 2019 to December 2022. He works with complete dedication and zeal for the strengthening of the party and impressed upon by this the party has decided to promote him to the post of General Secretary BJYM JKUT.

Earlier Abhishek has joined as a ABVP member in 2005 and later he joined as BJYM State Addl. Publicity Secretary in 2014.He also served as State Publicity Sect BJYM State Office Secy and State Secy BJYM.

Abhishek Singh Slathia expressed gratitude towards party leadership for showing confidence in him and assured that he will leave no stone unturned for strengthening the party at grass root level and resolving the issues of Youth.

Jammu: Security beefed up at Vaishno Devi shrine after Sidhra encounter

Reasi, December 28, 2022: A high alert was sounded in Shri Mata Vaishno Devi shrine at Katra in Reasi, Jammu on Wednesday, after this morning’s terrorist encounter by Indian army in Sidhra, in which four terrorists were killed by them.

According to reports, check posts have been installed in various places. Jammu Kashmir police and the army have started patrolling for area dominations at high ridges, keeping in mind the fresh terrorist attack in Sidhra today,  many personnel of security forces and the local police has been deployed at the Holy Shrine to avert any untoward tragedy.

Maa Vaishno Devi, also known as Mata Rani, and Vaishnavi, is a hill shrine of Hindu goddess Mata Adi Shakti, also known as Mahalakshmi. The temple is located in Katra at the Trikuta Mountains in Jammu and Kashmir.

PM Modi’s mother Heeraben hospitalised

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother  Heeraben Modi was on Wednesday admitted to hospital and her condition is reported to be stable.

The hospital in a statement said, “Heeraben Modi”, mother of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is admitted at UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology & Research Centre in Ahmedabad and her health condition is stable.”

Ahead of the recently held Gujarat assembly polls, the prime minister during campaigning had visited his mother who turned 100 this June.

Heeraben had also cast her vote in the second phase of the Gujarat Assembly polls.

‘Terrorists might be planning a Big terror attack in Jammu’: Army

Jammu, December 28, 2022: An Indian army official responding to the press on Sidhra terrorist attack in Jammu, today said that they have killed four terrorists here and four bodies have been retrieved so far in this terrorist encounter done by the Indian Army.

Adding further the Indian Army official said, “We cannot rule out the possibility from this terrorist attack that they were not planning to carry out a big terror attack here in Jammu, we just ended this operation and searches are going on to apprehend the absconding truck operator, who took the four terrorists here”.

Four terrorists were killed during an encounter after security forces intercepted a truck they were travelling in on the outskirts in Sidhra of Jammu, this morning.

As per the Police the encounter started around 7 am.

 

Fire breaks out in Civil Secretariat Jammu

Jammu, Dec 28: Fire broke out inside the Civil Secretariat Jammu on Wednesday following which fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the flames.

As per the report, the fire broke out at the top floor of the secretariat building and soon after the incident the fire tenders were rushed to the spot, the vehicles parked in the complex were moved away.

 Some records have been lost in the incident while there was no report of any injuries to anyone.

An official said that the immediate priority is to protect the employees who were evacuated from the building. “The incident will be investigated,” he added.

Visuals from the scene showed employees watching the fire from the lawns while firefighters tried to douse the flames.

J&K Khalsa Dal organises ‘Milk’ Langar for people in Jammu

Kathua, December 28, 2022: Several members of ‘J&K Khalsa Dal’ on yesterday organised a Milk Langer near GMC Kathua for the local people commemorating the martyrdom of Sahibzadas and Mata Gujri, the mother of Guru Gobind Singh.

Speaking to the media, one of the members of  ‘J&K Khalsa Dal’ said that they organised this Milk langar remembering the martyrdom of Four Sahibzadas and Mata Gujri. Adding he said, “When Guru Gobind Singh Ji reached Sarayu river vacating their Anandpur Fort following the attack by the Mughals, his family scattered there. When their fort was besieged by the army of Wazir Khan at Chamkaur  who was ready with his army of 10 lakhs and then Guru Gobind Singh Ji sent his elder sons Sahibzada Ajit Singh, Sahibzada Jujhar Singh to the battlefield, where they were martyred and on the other hand Sahibzadas Zorawar Singh and his younger brother Fateh Singh got captured with their grandmother Mata Gujari, by the help of their servant Gangu”.

“They were imprisoned with their grandmother and put to death by Mughals on the orders of Aurangzeb, who attempted to suffocate them ​inside a brick enclosure”, he said.

PHQ issues promotion order of 8 Sub-Inspectors of Ministerial Executive Cadre

Jammu and Kashmir Police Headquarters has issued promotion order in respect of Eight Sub-Inspectors of the Ministerial Executive Cadre to the rank of Inspectors today.

The Departmental Promotion Committee meeting was convened under the chairmanship of the Director General of Police J&K Shri Dilbag Singh at Police Headquarters J&K. After a thorough scrutiny of the service records, promotion in respect of these officers has been ordered. The DGP has congratulated the promoted officers and their families. He has expressed hope that the promotion will boost the morale of these officers and also inspire them to work with more dedication for the betterment of the department as well as for the people of J&K.

Vide PHQ’s order No 4324 of 2022, Mohi-ud-din, Bashir Ahmad, Gh Nabi Bhat, Naseer ud din Shah, Reyaz Ahmad, Bhagwan Singh, Nazir Ahmad Malla and Mulkh Raj were promoted to the rank of Inspectors.

 

Sidhra encounter: Truck driver still absconding, police intensify searches

As many as four terrorists travelling in a truck to Srinagar were killed in an encounter with security forces in the Sidhra area of Jammu on Wednesday morning, said police.

Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Jammu Zone, Mukesh Singh said that the truck driver is yet to be identified, who managed to flee when the security forces stopped the truck in the Sidhra area of Jammu.

The police also recovered seven AK-47 rifles and three pistols along with other ammunition from the truck.

“Four terrorists have been killed in an encounter in Sidhra area in Jammu. 7 AK-47 rifles, 3 pistols along with other ammunition were recovered. The truck driver is yet to be identified, the truck was going from Jammu to Srinagar. Search still on,” said ADGP Singh.
Talking about the operation, the ADGP had earlier said that in view of Republic Day, the Border Security Force is on alert and today in the morning they noticed an unusual movement of a truck.

“We noticed an unusual movement of a truck and followed it. The truck was stopped at Sidhra in Jammu where the driver managed to flee. When the truck was searched terrorists were hiding inside and fired on the personnel. The retaliatory firing was done. The truck is still on fire,” added ADGP.

The search operation is on.
