Watch: Woman Catches Daughter Red Handed With Boyfriend on Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day has just passed. The day that symbolizes love and allows couples to express love, can prove to be disastrous for those having secret relations. A video has gone viral on social media in which a woman can be seen spotting her daughter with her boyfriend on the roof. The video appears to be shot from a neighbouring roof and the audio suggests that the man recording the video helped the woman find the boy who was hiding due to fear. As soon as the woman spotted the boy, she starts beating him with a slipper, however, the boy managed to flee.

The mother then moves towards his daughter who pleads with folded hand to be forgiven. However, the woman can be seen beating her daughter with slippers in the video.

 

Jammu: One killed, another injured in car accident

A youth died while another was critically injured when a car, they were travelling in, rolled down in a deep gorge near Bhambla in Pouni.

The Swift car, bearing registration number JK02DC-5078, rolled down into the gorge at Godar Morh area of Bhambla resulting into on the spot death of one person and serious injuries to the other one.

The deceased was identified as Sahil Singh, age 25 years, son of Ghar Singh, resident of Moughal, tehsil Khour district Jammu. The injured, identified as Rohit Singh, age 24 years, son of Balak Singh, resident of Khour Jammu, was shifted to PHC Laiter (Bhambla) for the first aid and later referred to GMC Hospital Jammu.

Seven persons involved in poisoning farm fish arrested: J&K Police

Police on Saturday said that it arrested seven persons involved in killing farm fish in the Bathnoor Shahoora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

In a handout, the police said that on 13 February police post, Lassipora received a written complaint from one Manzoor Ahmad Mir S/O Ab Salaam Mir R/O Bathnoor Shahoora stated therein that some unknown persons have mixed some poisonous substance in water due to which thousands of fishes died in his fish farm at Bathnoor area of Litter Pulwama.

The spokesperson further stated that “upon this information Case FIR NO 9/2023 U/S 428 IPC was registered at PS Litter and investigation taken up. During the course of investigation of the case, by utilizing technical and human resources many suspects were called for questioning from where it has came to surface that some persons have used Bleaching powder for catching fishes at Canal which acted as a source of water for said fish farm, due to which the farm fishes got killed”.

All the accused persons involved in the act have been arrested.
The general public of the area has hailed the role of police for timely action against the accused persons, reads the statement.

 

Some roads to be closed for Srinagar development work completion: Div Com Kashmir

Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Vijay Bidhuri on Saturday said the ongoing development works in the city centre Lal Chowk for smart city projects have taken pace as the work is going on in double shifts, while the next two months are crucial in view of the proposed G20 meeting in Srinagar.

Talking to reporters after taking review of development works in Lal Chowk, Bidhuri said that in the coming two month, people might have to face inconvenience as some roads will be closed to complete the development works.

He said the development works will be completed in a stipulated time as work is going on in double shifts.

“We had started works when there was no proposal for G20 meeting in Srinagar, but since it has been proposed to hold the meeting here it benefitted us as we started work in double shifts. The projects will be completed in time now,” he said.

Three Hizb associates arrested, arms recovered: J&K Police

Three associates of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen oufit were arrested along with arms and ammunition in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, police said today.

In a major success in curbing militant activities and to safeguard the public from these miscreants, yesterday at about 1719 hours, police parties of PC Hatipora and Police station Behibagh arrested three militant associates of banned militant outfit HM and recovered live arms and ammunition from their possession, reported news agency GNS while quoting a police statement.

According to a police spokesman, based on a credible input regarding anti-national elements carrying illegal arms and ammunition with them moving in a vehicle, Kulgam police established a specific Naka at Daderkoot, Alamganj Crossing.

All the three persons were detained and after sustained interrogation, preliminary investigation reveals that they are involved in militant crimes and are providing support to militant organisatioA (Motorcycle) bearing registration No JK22-8034 was intercepted by the police parties present. While searching the vehicle and the said suspected persons; following illegally kept arms and ammunition were recovered, they include 01 Pistol, 02 Pistol Magazines and13 live Pistol rounds from their possession, he said.

All the three persons were detained and after sustained interrogation, preliminary investigation reveals that they are involved in militant crimes and are providing support to militant organisation. Identity of the said persons has been ascertained as Mohd Abass Wagay S/O Mohd Ramzan Wagay R/O Wuyan, Imamsahab, Gowhar Shafi Mir S/O Mohd Shafi Mir R/O DK Pora Shopian and Nisar Rehman Sheikh S/O Abdul Rahman Sheikh R/O DK Pora Shopian, he said.

In this regard case with FIR No 05/2023 under relevant sections of law stands registered in Police Station Behibagh further investigation into the matter has been taken up, reads the statement.

BJP committed to welfare of people: Ravinder Raina

President, J&K BJP Ravinder Raina said that his party is committed to the welfare of people including those from industries, transporters, traders and cooperatives.

According to a press note, he was speaking at a party function. Ravinder Raina guided the Convenors and Co-convenors of Industries, Transport, Trader and Cooperative Cells of BJP regarding their working on the ground level. He asked them to conduct increased Pravas in their respective sectors to extend their reach. He also asked them to involve the maximum members from their sectors in their organisational programmes while discussing and raising their issues. BJP is committed for the welfare of Industries, Transporters, Traders, Cooperatives, he added.

Devender Singh Rana deliberated on the Pravas schedule of the senior Cell activists in different areas. He said that the issues faced by the various sections under these three Cells have already been highlighted at the appropriate levels with the resolution of many. He said that Cell activists are already working dedicatedly on these issues.

Rakesh Mahajan said that many of the Cells have been revamped for the increased efficacy of the party cells at all levels. He said that it would be ensured that the party’s Cells work at the ground level with the active participation of all levels.

Ved Sharma discussed the ways to implement the strategy of the Cells at the District and Mandal levels. He also thanked all senior party leaders and activists for their active participation in the meeting.

Jammu: Two killed, several injured in road accident

At least two pilgrims were killed and 12 others injured in a road accident.

Reports said that the canter bus which was going to Shiv Khodi from bindi area of Rajouri met with an accident at Taryath in which 14 years old boy and a lady died on spot and 12 other persons injured.

12 injured have been shifted to Hospital for treatment.

Unidentified male body recovered in J&K

An unidentified male body was recovered from the Waskura area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Saturday, official sources said.

“The body was spotted by locals, who informed the police,” report.

Confirming it, a police official said that a team is at the spot to collect necessary details. “We will share the relevant details, once we collect them”, the official further said.

Devotees throng temple on occasion of Mahashivratri

Devotees across India thronged temples of Lord Shiva to offer prayers on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri.

Maha Shivratri is one of the most auspicious Hindu festivals which is celebrated across India. Chants of ‘Har Har Mahadev’ are heard in all parts of the country on this day.

This year the festival will be observed on February 18. It’s celebrated annually in honour of Lord Shiva, who is one of the main deities in Hinduism.
