Over 50 persons, including women, children and policemen, were attacked and injured by stray dogs in this north Kashmir district on Tuesday, official sources said.
They said stray dogs mauled over 50 persons in Kanthbagh and adjoining areas on Tuesday, causing panic among the residents, particular students.
Majority of injured were rushed to District Hospital, Baramulla. Doctors said they treated 45 injured persons due to dog bite.
They said majority of the injured were later discharged after giving them proper treatment, including vaccine.
Locals protested against the district administration for failing to control the dog population.
