Nursing students protest outside AMT college Jammu

Nursing students protested outside the AMT college in Jammu today. According to them, the authorities are delaying their tokens before registration. They complained about their struggles of travelling long distances and not getting their tokens.“I have come from Ramban district and standing here since 4 am. Before registering for our jobs we need to collect the tokens. We are coming here since 4 days and haven’t received our tokens yet. I was called in the morning for the work and the office is closed. Am I a fool?” said a protestor

“Some are from Poonch, some Rajouri while some from Doda. Most of us do private jobs and cannot come here everyday. We are standing here since morning and didn’t have our food. Any known person gets entry through contacts while we keep waiting here all day long till 4 pm.” added another

The students blocked the road while protesting and told to keep it blocked if the tokens weren’t provided to them.

“25th February is the last date to take token and register for the jobs. If the next few days go like this we would be jobless. The authorities should at least provide us a specific timing to collect the tokens otherwise we will keep the road blocked.” the protestors said
