Baramulla, Feb 2: The National Investigation Agency (NIA), assisted by local police, carried out multiple raids at residential premises across north Kashmir on Monday as part of an ongoing investigation, officials said.

An NIA team, along with Bandipora Police, conducted a search at the residence of a retired school teacher in Plan, Bandipora. Officials said the operation is linked to an ongoing probe, noting that the teacher’s son is already in detention under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.

Separately, the NIA carried out a raid at a residence near Mustafabad Gurdwara as part of the same investigation. Another search was underway at a house in Zethan, Rafiabad, belonging to a government employee in the Agriculture Department under the jurisdiction of Police Station Dangiwacha, Baramulla.

Sources said the raids were conducted simultaneously at multiple locations in a coordinated operation. Teams were examining documents and electronic devices, and no immediate arrests had been reported as of the latest update. Officials added that further details would be shared as the investigation progresses.
