Srinagar, Oct 30:
The Directorate of School Education Kashmir has announced a change in school timings for both Government and recognized Private Schools across the Kashmir Division, effective from November 1, 2025.
As per the order No. 309-DSEK of 2025, issued on October 30, 2025, schools falling within the Srinagar Municipal limits will now function from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Meanwhile, schools located outside the municipal limits of Srinagar District and in other areas of the Kashmir Province will operate from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The Directorate has directed all educational institutions to strictly adhere to the new schedule without any deviation.
The change in timing comes as part of the seasonal adjustment regularly made by the School Education Department to suit the changing daylight hours during the winter months.
