People celebrated auspicious ‘Nag Panchami’ with religious fervour on Sunday. They worshipped snakes at their door steps as well as in the temples. Every Nag temple in the city witnessed crowd and large number of devotees also worshipped Lord Shiva, as the day falls in the holy month of Sawan.
In Jammu main function ‘Nag Panchami’ was also celebrated with religious fervour where devotees mainly performed special pooja of Nag Devta and offered milk to them. The pooja was performed in Nag temples and Shiv temples across the region with devotees offering milk to Nag Devtas.
Crowd was also witnessed Nag Devta Baba Surgal where devotees offered milk and also organized bhandara on this auspicious occasion.
Meanwhile, ‘Nag Panchami’ was also celebrated with religious fervour in Kathua where devotees performed at Nag Devta Baba Surgal Temple, Parli Band. However, this year no huge crowd was witnessed in Temple due to Covid-19.
