Rajouri, December 6, 2025 – Member of Parliament Altaf Larvi visited the border district of Rajouri and attended a local event where he addressed the media, including Gulistan News. Commenting on the completion of one year of the current government, Lawari stressed the need for increased diligence and serious efforts across various sectors.
Speaking on the perceived tensions between the Raj Bhavan and the Chief Minister’s office, he clarified that the differences between the Chief Minister and the Lieutenant Governor are not as significant as they are portrayed to the public.
Regarding the Mughal Road tunnel, Lawari highlighted that although approval has been granted, there has been some delay in construction. He assured that the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) would undertake the project and that he remains in active contact with BRO officials to ensure steady progress. Larviexpressed optimism that the tendering process would be completed within a few weeks.
He also pointed to upcoming developments on the historic Lorun-Tangmarg road, indicating that work on this key route would commence soon, promising timely execution of projects vital to the region’s connectivity.
