Ladakh MP Haji Haneefa Jan visited the villages of Chuchot Shamma, Chuchot Gongma, and Chuchot Yokma to review local issues and interact with residents.

Village Nambardars submitted memorandums outlining key concerns, particularly regarding PMGSY blacktopping works and compensation for land and trees acquired during road construction.

On the second day of the tour, the MP inspected the Primary Health Centre at Chuchot Gongma, the newly built Mother & Child Health Centre, the Higher Secondary School at Chuchot Shamma, the PM SHRI Inclusive Education Centre, and the Residential Hostel for CWSN. He also visited the Youl-Dat Society, where the Martyr Zakir Hussain Tournament was underway.

Residents raised issues related to flood relief and the ongoing land dispute over the proposed railway track.

MP Haneefa Jan said the visit aimed to directly understand public grievances, assuring that urgent issues would be prioritised and addressed through effective use of the MP Fund.

Senior district officials, including ADC Leh Ghulam Mohd and CMO Leh Dr. Dolma Chuskit, accompanied the MP during the visit.
