Srinagar, December 20, 2025 : Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir, Dr. Molvi Muhammad Umar Farooq, expressed deep sorrow over the demise of the wife of noted scholar and former Professor at SKUAST Srinagar, and preacher of Aasar-e-Sharief Hazratbal, Dr. Kamal-ud-Din Farooqi of Zakura.
In his condolence message, the Mirwaiz paid rich tributes to the deceased, remembering her as a pious woman who embodied Kashmiri values and tradition. Mirwaiz visited Dr. Farooqi’s residence in Zakura to personally offer condolences to him, his son Tajammul Hussain Farooqi, and the bereaved family, and prayed for the departed soul’s forgiveness and elevated place in Jannah, besides offering Fateha.
On the occasion, the Mirwaiz also paid glowing tributes to the renowned and eloquent preacher, Mirwaiz Molana Muhammad Yaseen Hamdani, on his 33rd death anniversary, recalling his four decades of dedicated service in guiding the people of Kashmir through sermons and moral counsel, and his invaluable contribution to social reform.
