New Delhi:
Meta has confirmed that it has removed a video recorded by the suicide bomber involved in the recent attack near Delhi’s Red Fort. The company said the clip violated its strict policies on extremist content and therefore could not remain on any of its platforms.
The bomber has been identified as Umar Un Nabi, a doctor who investigators say was drawn into a “white-collar” terror module connected to individuals at Haryana’s Al-Falah University. The video began circulating online nearly a week after the November 10 blast, which claimed 13 lives. Officials noted that the footage attempted to glorify the attacker and was created as part of a larger propaganda effort.
Investigators believe Nabi had received basic training in handling chemicals, including ammonium nitrate, and was one of the most heavily radicalised members of the module. His involvement came to light during a wider probe into a network stretching from Kashmir to Faridabad.
The entire chain started to unravel after posters attributed to Jaish-e-Mohammad appeared in Srinagar’s Bunpora area on October 19. Srinagar Police launched a detailed investigation, reviewing CCTV footage and other leads, which resulted in the arrest of three local youths with previous stone-pelting cases.
Interrogation of these arrests led police to Maulvi Irfan Ahmad, a former paramedic who later served as an imam. According to officials, he supplied the posters and had a key role in influencing and radicalising the young doctors connected to the module.
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing and more arrests are likely as agencies work to map the full structure and handlers behind the propaganda video and the terror plot.
